
Christine Hilt founded CLH Design, PA, in 1993 and has become a leader in environmentally friendly site design. Since the inception of Green Building Design standards, the LEED rating system, and High Performance Guidelines, she has been applying these sustainability standards to multiple site designs. Additionally, under Ms. Hilt’s guidance, CLH Design has become an award-winning firm for taking site design a step further and developing a Sites That Educate, a program that teaches educators and students about environmental issues through hands-on wetlands plantings and stream buffer projects.
Ms. Hilt is an annual participant in the UNC School of Government and the Associated General Contractors (AGC) conference, Contracting for Construction and Design Services. She also dedicates considerable time to presentations on the LEED Rating System to Site Design to businesses and organizations across North Carolina.
Ms. Hilt holds a Bachelor of Environmental Design, Landscape Architecture, from the North Carolina State University School of Design (currently College of Design). She is a 20-year Member of the American Society of Landscape Architects, a current Board Member of the US Green Building Council, Triangle Chapter, and is affiliated with several additional professional and civic groups.
