CLH Design Projects - Public Schools
 

Knightdale Community Park, Elementary School and High School  Knightdale, North Carolina

Master Plan and Phase One Construction Plans for 170 acre combination park & high school/elementary school site. 

Amenities include a pinwheel baseball/softball complex, soccer fields, greenways and boardwalks as well as constructed wetlands and bio-retention areas.

Moore Square Museums Magnet Middle School                             Raleigh, North Carolina

Downtown Raleigh, urban school site encompassing one city block.  All egress are barrier-free in spite of 25' grade changes from Person to Bloodworth Streets.  Outdoor spaces were designed with heightened security in mind without appearing institutional.  Economy of Space required creative soulutions to provide ample outdoor play areas.

 

In 2003, The City of Raleigh presented the middle school with The Sir Walter Raleigh Award for Community Appearance for Outstanding Contribution toward Enhancing the Beauty of the City of Raleigh in addition to the EPA Award for Smart Growth Achievement.

Briar Creek Elementary School, Park and Community Center      Raleigh, North Carolina

Design of the 20 acre school and park with community center located at the "Village Center" very walkable site sustainable design components and demonstration wetlands and outdoor instruction areas.
